Handpicked in Kyushu, Japan and JAS-certified organic. Vibrant green, naturally sweet, with the same smooth, fresh taste as our 30g tin.

Why 100g?

If matcha is part of your daily routine, this is the format that makes sense. Around 50 servings in every pouch. Fewer orders, less waste and better value per serve.

Why organic matters

Less than 5% of tea farms in Japan are certified organic. Organic farms need to sit high on ridges and mountaintops, separated from conventional fields so rain does not carry pesticides into their soil. It is harder to grow, more expensive to produce and far less common.

We chose organic because matcha is different from other teas. You drink the whole leaf, ground to a fine powder. Nothing is steeped and discarded. What goes into the soil goes into you. Every batch is JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard) certified organic. Vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free. Lab-tested for pesticides and radiation.

Ways to enjoy

Whisk it traditionally with hot water, blend it into a latte or shake it over ice. Works well in smoothie bowls and baking too.

Frequently asked questions
Is your matcha organic?

Yes. Every batch is JAS certified organic and lab-tested for pesticides and radiation. Vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

Where is the matcha from?

Kyushu, in southern Japan. Shade-grown, handpicked, and stone-ground from first-harvest tea leaves.

What does your matcha taste like?

Light-bodied and smooth with a creamy mouthfeel and no bitterness. Naturally sweet with a fresh, clean finish — where some ceremonial matchas carry a strong umami or seaweedy note, ours opens with sweetness and finishes smooth.

How many servings are in a 100g pouch?

Around 50 serves using 2g per cup. Our best value per serve — more matcha, less packaging.

How do I prepare matcha?

Sift 2g into a bowl. Add 70–80ml of water heated to around 80°C (not boiling). Whisk briskly with a bamboo chasen in a W or M motion until a smooth, frothy layer forms. For a latte, top with steamed milk of your choice.

Can I make a latte with this?

Yes. Ceremonial is smoother and sweeter, which makes a more delicate latte. Many of our customers choose ceremonial for lattes.

How should I store it and how long does it stay fresh?

Sealed, cold, and out of light — the fridge is ideal once opened. An opened pouch holds its colour, aroma, and clean flavour comfortably for two to three months. After that it does not spoil; it simply softens in colour and aroma over time. Tip: let the pouch come back to room temperature before opening to stop condensation forming inside.

How much caffeine is in matcha?

A typical serve contains around 60–70mg of caffeine. Unlike coffee, matcha also contains L-theanine — an amino acid that promotes calm, focused energy without the jitters or crash.

Is matcha safe during pregnancy?

Matcha contains caffeine, so it is best to consult your healthcare provider about your caffeine intake during pregnancy. Many practitioners suggest limiting caffeine to 200mg per day, which would allow for one to two serves of matcha.
