For the daily latte, properly sourced
Everyday matcha is for the cup you make at speed: a latte before work, an iced matcha mid-afternoon, a quick whisk in milk before the gym. Bold, full-bodied and built to hold its flavour through milk, ice and other ingredients.
The 500g pouch is our biggest retail format. At $0.50 per gram, the per-serve cost is around $1. Roughly an eighth of what a cafe latte costs. Built for the household where matcha is part of the weekly rhythm, not a special-occasion drink.
About the blend
Our Everyday matcha is a blend of three cultivars chosen for what each one brings:
- Yutakamidori for body
- Yabukita for balance
- Asanoka for aroma
The blend was designed to hold its flavour through milk and ice, so the cup you make at home matches what a cafe pours. Read our guide to matcha cultivars.
A note on freshness
Matcha keeps its colour and aroma best for four to six weeks after opening. 500g suits anyone making a matcha drink every day, or a two-person household sharing the bag. If you sit closer to once or twice a week, our 50g pouch is the better fit.
Store sealed, cold and out of light. The fridge is ideal once opened.
How to use
Made for lattes, iced matcha, smoothies and baking. Whisk one scoop (about 1g) into 60ml of warm water at around 80°C, then top with milk for a latte. Or shake straight with cold milk and ice over a glass for an iced version.

Frequently asked questions
How many serves does a 500g bag make?
Around 250 serves at 2g per cup. Roughly a month of daily lattes, depending on how strong you like them.
Is this the same matcha as the 50g pouch?
Yes. Same Everyday Matcha, just in a larger bag. Sized for cafes and daily latte drinkers.
What is the cost per serve?
$0.76 per cup. Our lowest cost per serve.
What margin can my cafe make per matcha latte?
Iced matcha lattes sell for around $6 to $9.50 across Australian cafes. Hobart and Brisbane tend to sit at the lower end ($6 to $8), Sydney and Melbourne at the higher end ($8 to $9.50).
Cost breakdown with our Everyday 500g:
- Matcha (2g serve): $0.76
- Milk, ice and cup: ~$0.90
- All-in cost: ~$1.66
At an $8 sell price (national midpoint), that is around $6.34 margin per latte. About 79% gross margin. At $7 it is around $5.34, at $9 around $7.34. The matcha itself sits at less than 10% of the sell price.
Does organic justify a higher menu price?
Often, yes. Cafes that highlight "JAS certified" or "organic Japanese matcha" on the menu commonly charge a $1 to $2 premium over standard matcha lattes.
The Australian context supports it. The organic food market is growing around 7% per year and projected to reach $2.3 billion by 2034. Organic-buying customers spend on average 34% more per shop than non-organic shoppers (Woolworths internal data). Matcha drinkers sit squarely in the health-conscious segment most willing to pay for organic.
Every dollar added to the menu price flows directly through. With our Everyday 500g at $0.76 matcha cost per cup, charging $9 instead of $8 lifts margin from $6.34 to $7.34 per latte. The wholesale matcha cost barely moves. The premium is pure gross profit.
Tip: name the certification on the menu (JAS organic, Kyushu, Japan). Customers pay more when the organic claim is paired with origin and quality detail.
Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes. Our Wholesale Sample Pack includes 20g of Ceremonial and 20g of Everyday for $25. The cost is fully credited against your first wholesale order of 500g or more.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes. Five or more bags qualifies for volume pricing. See the wholesale page for tier rates or enquire directly.
How should I store a 500g bag?
Sealed, cold and out of light. Once opened, decant into smaller airtight containers and keep refrigerated. The fridge is ideal.
How long does it stay fresh?
Unopened: around 12 months. Opened: best within four to six weeks for the fullest colour and flavour.
Can I use this for lattes and iced drinks?
Yes. Everyday Matcha was made for lattes, iced matcha and smoothies. The fuller body holds its flavour through milk and ice.
Is this matcha organic?
Yes. Every batch is JAS certified organic and lab tested for pesticides and radiation. Vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.
